Mildred Evelyn Rhule

Mildred Evelyn Harrell-Rhule was born July 5, 1926, at Pomona, Kansas. She was the daughter of Aaron L. and Bertha (Gardner) Hougland. Mrs. Rhule was a resident of Kansas City, Missouri for many years, moving to Ottawa, in Franklin County, Kansas in 1990, where she made her home until her death Thursday, July 18, 2002, at the age of seventy-six years. During the 1950's and 1960's, Evelyn was a sales clerk at the Sears Department Store in Ottawa. For over twenty years, she was employed in the collection's department of Western Auto in Kansas City, Missouri, retiring in the late 1980's. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Aerie Lodge #2700, Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary, and Ottawa Lodge #803, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, all of Ottawa. Evelyn was a very outgoing, social lady who loved and enjoyed her family and friends. She was always very active and liked to go shopping and eat out with her friends. In her leisure time, she enjoyed reading. In the 1940's, Evelyn was united in marriage with Art Geiss in the state of Washington. They later divorced.
