Mildred Chamberlain

Mildred was born July 1, 1926 in Binghamton, NY. She was married to William (Bill) Chamberlain on November 3, 1945 in Endicott, NY. She lived most of her life in and around the Osawatomie, Ks. area. She worked several years for the Osawatomie State Hospital. Mildred is preceded in death by her husband, Bill, her parents Melvin and Minnie Ray, 1 son, William Jr., 1 daughter Wilma, 1 great-grandson, William Anthony Smith, 1 sister, Beverly Bartley, and 2 brothers, William and Walter Ray. She is survived by 1 son James Chamberlain of Wichita, Ks., 3 daughters Anne and Billy Tollett of Sand Springs, Ok., Betty Bennett of Springfield, Mo., and Carol Joyce and Rick Buckley of Kansas City, Mo., 2 sisters Virginia Ferrier and Barbara Gouge, and 3 brothers Robert, Buddy and Victor Ray. She leaves 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, January 17, 2009, at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Paola Chapel. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery, Cadmus, Kansas. Visitation will be Friday evening January 16, 2009, from 6-8 PM also at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home Chapel, Paola, Kansas. Memorials may be made to the Mildred Chamberlain Memorial Fund.
