Mildred Anne 'Millie' Nance was born on Wednesday, May 2, 1956, in Omaha, Nebraska. She was the daughter of Kenneth and Margaret (Richter) Nance. Millie grew up in Denver, Colorado. Eleven years ago, she moved to Ottawa, in Franklin County, Kansas, where she made her home, until her death on Monday, January 30, 2006, at the age of forty-nine years. She was employed by C.O.F. Training Services in Ottawa the past eleven years. She enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics, where she competed in bowling and speed walking. She enjoyed traveling, loved practical jokes, and working word search books. Millie will be sadly missed by co-workers, housemates and family. To quote one of her friends, 'she was a real sweetie'. Millie is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Gwen Nance of Ottawa; brother, David Nance of Lakewood, Colorado; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Jerry Glidden of Aurora, Colorado; three nieces, Wendy Nance of Eudora, Kansas, Kelly Elmore of Aurora, Colorado, Kim Hilton of Aurora, Colorado; two nephews, Scott Nance of Ottawa, Bradley Glidden of Aurora, Colorado; and three great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. SERVICES: Memorial services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2006. IN STATE: Ms. Nance has been cremated. CEMETERY: Inurnment will be held at a later date in Denver, Colorado. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorials to C.O.F. Special Olympics, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
