Mikeal W. Kraft

Mikeal W. Kraft, age 58 of Ottawa, Kansas, died Friday, May 01, 2009 at Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center in Topeka, KS. He was born on Thursday, February 22, 1951 in Ottawa, KS, the son of Thomas A. Kraft and Wanda (Oder) Kraft. He was near a lifelong resident of Ottawa, also living in Garnett, Kansas from 1976 to 1982. Mikeal graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1969. He received his Vo-Tech degree at Pittsburg State University in Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration. He worked for Buildex for 6 years, AB May for 6 years, Fogle Quarry for three years, and did construction work for 2 years. In 2000, he began working for Johnson County Aggregates until 2005. Mikeal was a member of the A.F. &A.M. Lodge #18, and the York-Rite of Ottawa. He was also a member of Abdallah Shrine Temple of Kansas City, KS. On January 28, 1978 Mikeal was united in marriage with Linda Salmans in Garnett, Kansas. She preceded him in death on April 8, 1982. He later married Beth Hixon in Iola, Kansas on March 3, 1983, they later divorced. SURVIVOR INCLUDE Mother -Wanda Kraft of Ottawa, KS. Son - Douglas Kraft and his wife Hanna of Edgerton, KS. Son – Curtis Kraft and his wife Kimberly of Princeton, KS. Sister – Janice McAninch of Goddard, KS. Sister - Delores Pitts of Edmond, OK. Brother – Tom Kraft, Jr. of Missouri Brother – Clayton Kraft of Ottawa, KS. Granddaughter – Lauren Kraft of Edgerton, KS. Grandson to be – Ethan Kraft of Princeton, KS. He was preceded in death by Father - Tom Kraft Wife – Linda Salmans SERVICES: Memorial funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May, 6, 2009, followed by Masonic services. IN STATE: Mr. Kraft has been cremated. The family will meet with friends from 7:00 to 8:00 Tuesday evening, May 5th, at Dengel & Son Mortuary.
