He lived in Topeka, Kansas a short time prior to moving to Ottawa in the early 1930`s. Mr. Garcia left school at an early age to support his family. In 1924, he was employed as a laborer for the Santa Fe Railroad forty-six years, retiring in 1970. He attended church at the Old Mexican Mission in his early years, and later attended Jehovahs Witnesses, both of Ottawa. In 1938, Miguel was united in marriage with Senaida Garcia at Ottawa, Kansas. She preceded him in death in 1985. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 20, 2004. OFFICIATING CLERGY: Pastor Duane Pedrow. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mr. Garcia at the Dengel & Son Mortuary from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday and 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends 4:00 to 5:00 Sunday afternoon. CEMETERY: Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorials to B. Martin Peck Animal Shelter, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
