Michael Luther Mustain, age 68, of Wellsville, Kansas, passed away Friday, July 24, 2020, at the Olathe Health Hospice House. Cremation is planned with a private graveside service. A Celebration of Life service will be scheduled for a later date. Michael was born July 22, 1952 in Springfield, Missouri, the son of Bernie Luther Mustain and Kathryn Lenoir (Stover) Mustain. He lived in Wellsville since 1982 moving from Ottawa, Kansas. He graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1970 and continued his education at Pittsburg State University graduating in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a minor in English. Michael was united in marriage to Mayria Beeler October 19, 1996, in Ottawa. They were happily married nearly 24 years. He was employed as a plant manager with Central Fiber Corporation in Wellsville, retiring after 30 years. He was a 25-year member of the Wellsville Masonic Lodge No. 356 A.F. & A.M., Wellsville City Council member, Wellsville Chamber of Commerce President, Franklin County Economic Development Committee President, and a lifelong member of the Wellsville Library. Michael enjoyed golfing, Formula 1 racing, go carts, antique tractor pulls, and listening to his vast collection of music. He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew Eric Hiller. Survivors include his wife Mayria of the home; daughter Molly (Dalton) Bugner of Kansas City, Kansas; son Ethan (Chantel) Mustain of Gardner; sister Carol (George) Hiller of Grain Valley, Missouri; three grandchildren Beck Bugner, Adalee Lawrence, and Leo Lawrence; niece, Kim (Chris) Berry of Blue Springs, Missouri; and great nephews Caleb and Zach also of Blue Springs.
