Michael Jay Allen

Michael J. Allen, age 44, of Wellsville, Kansas, died Friday, July 15, 2011, at Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa, Kansas. He was born on Tuesday, June 27, 1967, in Lawrence, Kansas, the son of Brice Francis Allen and Patricia Ann Routh. He lived in Eudora, Lawrence, and Baldwin City, Kansas, moving to Wellsville in 1997. Michael attended schools in Lawrence and Baldwin City with the class of 1985. He worked as a stocker and greeter for Wal-Mart Supercenter in Lawrence, Kansas since 2007. Michael served in the United States Army. He is survived by his: Mother-Patricia Routh of LeLoup, Kansas; Father-Sonny Allen and his wife, Ricky, of Baldwin City, Kansas; Son-Jacob Allen of the home; Sister-Angela Allen-Kline and her husband, Jeremy, of Wellsville, Kansas; Brother-Chris Allen and his wife, Michelle, of Overbrook, Kansas; Paternal Grandmother-Mildred Frances Allen of Lawrence, Kansas and Three nieces and several cousins. He is preceded in death by his: Uncle-David Routh, January 30, 2010; Uncle-James Routh-Wenger; Aunt-Judith Wilson; Maternal Grandfather-Isaac N. Routh; Maternal Grandmother-Edith M. (Richards) Routh; Paternal Grandfather-Brice Allen. SERVICES: Cremation is planned. A private service will be held at a later date. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorial contributions to Michael J.
