Michael Erwin Rust

Michael Erwin Rust, age 74, passed away on November 6, 2023, at his home in Fontana, KS.

On October 23, 1949, Michael was born to Chester Wayne and Mildred Irene (Erwin) Rust in Solo, Missouri. He was one of five children.

Michael grew up in Cabool, Missouri where he graduated from Cabool High School in 1967. He would then move to Springfield, Missouri until 1970 and later Paola, Kansas from 1971-1994. Fontana, Kansas is where he would make his home from 1994 until his passing in 2023.

Michael and his wife Judith were united in marriage on September 19, 1970, in Hillsdale, Kansas.

He had a love of fly fishing, going hunting and playing golf.

Preceding Michael in death are his parents and older sister Wayneth J. Bay.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Rust of the home, children Veronica Lea Breville of Thornton, Colorado and Cassie Jo Woody of Boulder, Colorado, brother Robert Rust of Lake of the Ozarks, sisters Evelyn Jarrett of Cabool, Missouri and Carolyn Hanks of Cabool, Missouri. As well as 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
