McKenzie James "Jim" Wilson, Jr., age 91, returned to his Heavenly Father on July 15, 2015 in Spring Hill, Kansas. He was born March 20, 1924, in Lake Worth, Florida to McKenzie "Mac" and Rose Meier Wilson. Jim grew up in Chicago, Illinois until the death of his father then he moved to Geneseo, Ill. to live with his Uncle Ed and Aunt Amelia Hulting where he developed a love for farming. After graduating from Geneseo High School, he joined the Army Air Corps as a Flight Officer and was a veteran of World War II. On June 24, 1944, he married his high school sweetheart, Dorothy Drehman in Decatur, Illinois. After leaving the army, he farmed around Geneseo, Alpha, and Andover, Illinois. During this time, he served as a branch president, counselor in the Nauvoo District Presidency and missionary in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After retiring, he and Dorothy ran an RV park in American Fork, Utah until the decline of his health and moved to Spring Hill, Kansas in 2001. Jim and Dorothy were the parents of six children of whom five survive him: Diane (Cleve) Kester and Nancy Marshall of Kansas; David (Deon) Wilson and Mark (LeAnn) Wilson of Utah; and Kathleen (Roy) Kay of Idaho. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. His parents, wife, daughter Mary Ann (Dennis) Burbridge, sister Joanne Slagle, and brother John preceded him in death.
