Max Eugene Randel, age 83, of Williamsburg, Kansas, died Wednesday, February 22, 2012. He was born on Friday, December 28, 1928, in Harris, Kansas, the son of Ira G. and Margaret (Rea) Randel. He was a lifelong resident of Williamsburg. Max graduated from Williamsburg High School with the class of 1947. He was a lifelong farmer and rancher working for Ransom Farm for fifty-four years, retiring in 2007. He was a member of Ottawa Promenaders and The Pioneer Plus Square Dance Clubs. On October 21, 1952, Max was united in marriage with Betty Bittenbender in Ottawa, Kansas. She survives of their home in Williamsburg. He is survived by his:Wife – Betty I. Randel of their home; Daughter – Melodee Jo Hill of Bakersfield, California; Seven -Grandchildren and Ten Gt.Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by is Parents – Ira G. and Margaret Randel; Daughter – Kandee Rea Crane and Sister – Doris Pauline Randel Hughes. SERVICES: His wishes were for cremation. Private services will be held at a later date. CEMETERY: Inurnment Mt. Hope Cemetery, Williamsburg, Kansas.
