Maudie L. Stice

Maudie L. Stice, age 91, of Kansas City, Missouri, formerly of Louisburg, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Wexford Place Assisted Living.

Graveside service will be held at 10 am, Friday, August 30, 2024, at the Louisburg Cemetery.

Maudie was born on May 28, 1933, in Williamsburg, Missouri. She was the daughter of Orville John and Beulah (Jacobs) Whitaker. Maudie spent most of her early childhood in the Kansas City, Kansas area. She graduated from Garden City High School in 1946.

Maudie married Norris Stice, on December 22, 1951. In 1958, the couple moved their family to Louisburg, Kansas. She worked for Herff-Jones for over 30 years.

Maudie enjoyed gardening, thrift shopping, and going to garage sales. She loved taking trips to Branson every year. Maudie loved her grandchildren and great grand child dearly. She loved her dogs and the hummingbirds that came to visit her feeder.

Maudie is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Norris Stice, parents, John and Beulah Whitaker, son, David Stice, daughter, Susan N. Stice, and sister, Arnetta McComas.

She is survived by her two grandchildren, Dallas Richards, and Kristopher Stice-Hall (Jeff), one great granddaughter, Ryleigh Stice-Hall, son, James (Sue) Stice, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
