Matilda Rey Malik

Matilda Rey Malik, age 5, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at AdventHealth Ottawa. Matilda was born September 9, 2016, at Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Brian A. and Angie M. (Ashmore) Malik. A strong, determined, bright little girl, Matilda was known to enjoy being with family and friends, going to the library and the park, playing piano and soccer. Even though Matilda’s time here on earth was brief, she touched many hearts. She will be forever cherished in the hearts of those who survive her including her parents, Brian and Angie Malik; maternal grandparents, Richard Ashmore of McCune, Kansas, and Ruby Ashmore of Girard, Kansas; paternal grandparents, Allen and Darla Malik of Burlington, Kansas; and her beloved dog Cash. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa. Family will meet with friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., prior to services at the mortuary. Interment Antioch Cemetery, Williamsburg, Kansas.
