Mason Howard Jones, III, 42, of Richmond, Kansas, passed away Friday, September 5, 2014, at Ransom Memorial Hospital. Cremation is planned. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, September 11, 2014, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Following services there will be scattering of cremains at Hillsdale Lake near Springhill, Kansas. Family will meet with friends from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at the mortuary. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kansas. Mason was born Wednesday, January 26, 1972, in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Mason Jr. and Darlene (Graybill) Jones. Mason has resided in Richmond since 2008, moving from Garnett, he also resided in Topeka, Kansas, Wyoming, Florida, Nebraska, Colorado, and Missouri. He graduated from Comiso American High School in Sicily, Italy with the class of 1990, and continued his education at Florida State. Mason was united in marriage with Jennifer Sears June 11, 1994 in Garnett, Kansas. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his mother, Darlene Jones of Princeton; two children, Alexander-Mason Howard Jones IV and Alyssa Katrine Jones both of the home; brother, Charles Jones of Atlanta, Georgia; sister, Donna Jones of Garnett; nephews, Travis and Terence Venniro; nieces, Brittany White and Sadee Jones; and other numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father. He worked for Sensor 1 in Princeton, as an assembler, from 2007 to 2011. He also worked for the City of Princeton as an animal control officer. Mason served in the United States Air Force from September 10, 1998 to September 6, 2005 attaining the rank of staff sergeant. He was a member of the Patriot Guard and Ducks Unlimited. He served on the Princeton Recreational Board and was soccer coach from 2006 to 2012. The family suggests memorial contributions to Dog’s Nation, Inc. c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
