Mary Ryherd

December 20, 1919 — August 3, 2013

Our precious mother Mary Olive (Graves) Ryherd passed away peacefully Saturday, August 3, 2013. She was born in McLouth, Kansas on December 20, 1919 to John Horatio and Olive Lulu (Sears) Graves. She was a woman of great faith witnessing about Jesus to anyone who would listen. Her home was a warm home of faith, love, and family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She married her true love and life partner William H. Ryherd, Jr. on December 18, 1961. They spent the rest of their lives together working for the Lord, devoted to church, loving their family, and caring for others. Mom was a Cub Scout and Blue Bird Leader, Sunday school superintendent, member of PTA and a marvelous cook. She enjoyed restoring antiques, gardening and growing African violets. Mom"s words of wisdom were "Live for the Lord, trust and obey Him" which she did daily. Her great granddaughter"s described her best as a beautiful mother, honest, grateful, giving, generous, thoughtful, loving, caring, faithful, sweet, wonderful, amazing, kind, peaceful, family oriented and a gentle spirit. She was "Mom" to all. There are not enough words to express our gratitude to all the exceptional care given to her from Crossroads Hospice. They were angels taking care of an angel. A very special thank-you to her great granddaughters, Halee Patton and Ericka Davidson who were by her bedside the last four days continuously holding her hands and telling her how much she was loved. She is irreplaceable and will be missed forever. We love you Mom. She is survived by her son Ralph R. (Randy) Davidson, Jr. (Wanda; daughters, Donna M. (Cal) Smith, Wendy Bogue, and Wanetta (Ken) Edens; grandchildren Kim Patton, Mary Onnen, Debra Nutt, and Trey Davidson; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister Norma Saunders of Mohave, CA; and many nieces and nephews.
