Mary Louise Christy

Mary Louise Christy, age 90, of Paola, Kansas departed this life Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Villa St. Francis in Olathe, Kansas. Mary Louise was born on May 17, 1927 in Paola, Kansas to Richard H. and Kathryn A. (Langan) Kircher. She attended Ursuline Academy, Paola. She was united in marriage to Ivan H. Christy on February 7, 1949. They later divorced. She was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Paola. Mary Louise worked for Medicalodges, Paola and later for Lakemary Center before she retired. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, JoAnn Papst, son Stephen J. Christy, daughter-in-law, Linda M. Christy, and great grandson, Jackson Christy. She is survived by her children, Philip (Marcia) Christy, Robert (Leora) Christy, Catherine (William) Ennis and Richard (Brenda) Christy, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. with a rosary at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 501 E. Chippewa St., Paola, KS. Funeral mass will follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to Catholic Community Hospice, 9740 W. 87 St., Overland Park, KS 66212.
