Mary Louise Soetaert Agnew, 89, of Louisburg, Kansas, passed away March 25, 2020, at the home of her daughter Elizabeth and son-in-law Larry Zawada of Overland Park, Kansas. Mary will be lying in state for viewing from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2020 at the Dengel & Son Louisburg Chapel. Graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2020 at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery Louisburg, KS. Mary was born October 6, 1930 in Kansas City, Missouri to Henry and Anna Soetaert. She graduated from Saint Mary’s in Leavenworth, Kansas. Mary became a registered nurse and worked at Providence Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas. She married Kenneth Eugene Agnew. They were married for 68 years. Mary was preceded in death by husband, Kenneth Agnew, parents, Henry and Anna Soetaert, and brother, Leonard. She is survived by her seven children, Neal & Mary Agnew, Elizabeth & Larry Zawada, Ann & Pat Carletti, Leo Agnew, John & Dorothy Agnew, Paul & Marisa Agnew, Mark & Pam Agnew, sister, Barbara Peery, brothers Bernard Soetaert and Michael Soetaert, 17 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. Mary loved her lifetime of family and friends, the babies in the nursery where she worked, church, gardening, raising every kind of livestock, especially chickens, dogs and cats. She also enjoyed baseball, and classic tv shows including Gunsmoke, M.A.S.H., and the Andy Griffith Show. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Ascend Hospice or Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
