Mary Katherine Ashcraft

Mary Katherine Cassidy Ashcraft, age 52 of Olathe, KS went home to our Lord Saturday, April 8,2017 at Olathe Medical Center. She was born February 13, 1965, the daughter of Hugh and Julia Maschler Cassidy. Mary enjoyed working and caring for the elderly for many years as a medical aid. Then went into her own home cleaning business for many years. She had a passion for nurturing plants inside and outside, loved refinishing antiques and spending time with her grandchildren and Tim. Her adventurous nature was always teaching herself new things and making new friends throughout her life. Her family was an important part of her life. After many years of health issues, it finally took a toll on her body. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Julia Mastin and Hugh Cassidy; three brothers, John, Mark and Billy Cassidy; one sister, Kathleen Boyd. She is survived by her lifetime partner Tim Saunders; daughter, Lauren Ashcraft, one step-daughter Jessica Cisneros, seven grandchildren; August and Gavin Pierce, Jasmine, Nina,Angelo,Messiah and Genesis. two sisters; Sharon Cassidy Staton and Amy Cassidy Cole, three brothers Mick Cassidy, Glen Mastin and Jeffery Mastin. Step-mother Betty Cassidy. 16 nieces and nephews, 14 great nieces and nephews, her companion for many years "BUZZ" (her cat)! Mary Katherine will be fondly remembered as "Aunt MoJo" A memorial service of Mary Katherine's life will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday April 22, 2017 at Grace Community Church 108 East. 15th St. Pleasanton, KS. Memorial Contributions can be made to the family. A private family burial will be at a later date.
