Mary Jo Gibson

Mary Jo Gibson age 69 of Paola passed away Sunday April 18 at the Life Care Center of Osawatomie. . Mary was born in Ashton Mississippi on March 28, 1941 to Joe Thomas and Julia Harris Gibson. She grew up in the Paola, Osawatomie area and attended Osawatomie Schools. Her employment was at the Taylor Forge Manufacturing Plant as a fork lift driver and later at the Osawatomie State Hospital for over 20 years in Housekeeping. She was a foster grandmother, and enjoyed crocheted, knitting, watching TV, and enjoyed traveling twice a year with the Chester family to Memphis to see her aunt. Survivors are her brother Henry Gibson of Paola, niece, Sherry Gibson of Paola, and nephew Terry Gibson of Ottawa, 3 aunts and her special care giver Bob Chester and his family. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
