Mary Frances Swallow

Mary Frances Swallow was born June 15, 1922, at Mount Washington, Missouri. She was the daughter of Samuel W. and Myrtle (Burns) Coltrane. A near lifelong resident, Mary moved with her family to rural Pomona at the age of three years, where she made her home until her death Friday, March 8, 2002, at the age of seventy-nine years. Mary graduated from Pomona High School with the class of 1939. For several years, she was employed as an operator for Kansas Telephone Company. She was also bookkeeper and partner in her husband's construction business for many years. She was a member of Pomona United Methodist Church and served as Financial Secretary on the official board for several years. She was a member of the
