Mary F. Coffman

Mary F. Coffman, 64, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017, at Richmond Healthcare and Rehabilitation. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at 6:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at Dengel & Son Mortuary with a visitation to immediately follow. Mary was born May 21, 1952, in Smithville, Missouri, the daughter of Samuel and Eleanor (Suddarth) Tipton. She was a lifelong Ottawa resident. Mary was united in marriage to Allan Coffman December 4, 1995. He survives of the home. Other survivors include her two children, Mindy Cardell and husband Rob of Richmond and Timothy Wilson of Kansas City, Missouri; eight siblings, Susie Riemer and husband Richard of Ottawa, Sam Tipton and wife Donna of Williamsburg, Daniel Tipton of Palisade, Colorado, Rose Schoonover and husband J.W. of Ottawa, Laura Pacheco and Ricky Roth of Ottawa, Dinah Atchison and husband Clyde of Ottawa, Christina Brewer and husband Jeff of Ottawa, David Tipton and Cindy Zimmerman of Ottawa; two grandchildren, Shelby Cardell of Manhattan and Nash Cardell of Richmond; and brother-in-law, Alvic Tate of Ottawa. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Anna Tate; niece, Rebecca Riemer; nephew, Michael Riemer; and great nephew, Brandon Davidson. Mary was employed with Bendix King and later became a CNA working at Ottawa Retirement Village for many years. She was a member of Crosspointe Community Church. Mary loved her family and the time they spent together. She enjoyed word puzzles. The family suggests memorial contributions to AseraCare Hospice c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
