Mary Juanita Ergle, cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, departed this life on January 22, 2025, at Newman Regional Health in Emporia, Kansas. Born on December 20, 1943, the daughter of Arthur and Savannah (Horton) Ergle, Juanita lived a life defined by her unwavering dedication to her work as a factory worker, where her strong spirit and relentless work ethic made a lasting impact on those around her.
A source of strength and love for her family, Mary is survived by her two beloved sons, Stevan Counts and Charles Counts, whose lives she enriched with her profound love and wisdom. In her role as a grandmother, she delighted in the joy brought by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry her memory forward in their hearts.
Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Mamie Wolfe, who remains a cherished memory in the hearts of those who loved her. She also reunites with her brothers: JL Ergle, James Ranso Ergle, Floyster Ergle, Noah Lee Ergle, and Ed Ergle, as well as her sisters: Gertrude McCoy, Pauline Metheny, Sharlotte Tidwell, Christine Tidwell, Edith Fay Grainger, and Ruby Lucero, and Nelly Ergle. Each of these family members holds a special place in the story of Mary’s life.
As we remember Juanita, we reflect on her warmth, resilience, and the deep love she had for her family. Her legacy will continue to shine brightly in the memories of all who knew her, reminding us of the enduring bonds that connect us across generations.
Cremation is planned with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
