Mary E. Willis Williams, age 80, of Paola, KS passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Olathe Medical Center. Mary was born March 7, 1934 in Louisburg, KS and raised by her mother, Carnissa Hybsha Willis, along with her two older brothers. She graduated from Louisburg High School in 1952, and married Earl E. Williams shortly after on June 20, 1952. They made their home in Paola where they raised 5 children. Mary was a homemaker for years, and eventually went to work at the Paola Walmart in the shoe department where she worked for over 20 years. Mary was a member of the Eastern Star for years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Paola where she was an active member of the Friendship Sunday School Class, the Currier Missionary Circle, and the prayer chain. Mary was preceded in death by her mother and two brothers, Ed Willis and Dick Willis. Left to cherish her memory are: husband Earl of the home; sons Gary Williams of Paola, Bary Williams of Emporia, and Greg Williams of Phoenix; daughters Tina Williams Patton of Phoenix, and Debi Williams Fry of Bloomdale, OH; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren along with extended family and friends. Mary will be greatly missed. There will be an additional visitation one hour before the service at the church. Memorials may be made to the Miami County Diabetes Support Group or First Baptist Church of Paola.
