Mary Delpha McAlexander, 105, of Osawatomie, Kansas, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016, at the Life Care Center in Osawatomie. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, October 7, 2016, at Beacon of Truth Church, half mile south of Richmond, Kansas, at the southeast corner of the intersection of Allen Road and Hwy 59. Family will meet with friends from 6:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M., Thursday, October 6, 2016, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Interment Beacon of Truth Church Cemetery. Mary was born Saturday, March 11, 1911, in Hickory County, Missouri, the daughter of Epp and Lola Mae Palmer. She lived in Leavenworth, Richmond, and Garnett, Kansas. In 2007, Mary moved to Osawatomie. Mary was united in marriage to Wiley McAlexander in 1942, in Leavenworth. He preceded her in death in April 1957. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Epp and Lola Mae Palmer; and infant daughter, Esther Mae McAlexander. Survivors include her four children, Paul McAlexander of Kansas City, Mary Alonge and husband Ed of Garnett, Martha Burnett and husband Robert of Benton City, Washington, and Daniel McAlexander of Williamsburg, Virginia; seventeen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Mary was a devoted lifelong homemaker. She was a very faithful and religious woman who attended Beacon of Truth Church in Richmond.
