Mary Beth Johnston

Mary Beth Johnston age 67 of Gardner formally of Wellsville, Kansas passed away at her home after a battle with lung cancer. (cremation) A celebration of life will be schedule at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Mary Beth was born Aug. 18, 1943 in Welch, West Virginia to William and Reicle Henson. Her father was in the service, so the family lived in different locations as she was growing up. On July 9, 1980 she was united in marriage to Ronald Johnston in Olathe Kansas. They made their home in Wellsville where during her life she had a beauty shop and in her earlier years she was a nurse"s aid for several nursing homes, and also was a social worker. She was a caring person and gave a helping hand wherever she was needed. Survivors are her husband Ron of the home, four sons, Brian Hall and wife Debbie of Salina KS, Gerri Hall and wife Shannon of Point Comfort, TX, Garri Hall and wife Michelle of Fairview, TN, Roger Henson and wife Becky of Fairview TN, sister Janice Conkwrite of Marietta, GA., 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
