Mary Ann Jones

Mary Ann Jones, 72, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Monday, April 24, 2023.

Cremation is planned with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.

Mary was born Sunday, March 29, 1951, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Bascilio and Delores (Balandran) Llamas.

She lived in Abilene, Texas, moving to Ottawa in June 1983.

Mary graduated from Hayden Catholic High School in Topeka, Kansas with the class of 1970.

She was blessed with a son, Brian Jones. He proceeded her in death on June 24, 1986.

Mary was employed with Kalmar USA, Inc., formerly Ottawa Truck, working on the assembly line for over fifteen years, retiring in 2017. She also worked other various jobs in assembly including King Radio and Parmelee Plastics Company. From 1993 to 1998, she worked for Our Own Hardware in distribution.

She attended the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and enjoyed fishing, dancing, and watching professional wrestling. Mary especially enjoyed the time spent with her family.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Bascilio and Delores; son, Brian Jones; sister, Carol Hernandez; and brother, Thomas Llamas.

Survivors include sisters, Clara Guerin of Ottawa, Conception Roberts of Topeka, Kansas, Rosa Granado of Bellevue, Nebraska, and Susanna Flores of Blyth, California, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
