Mary Ann Detwiler

Mary Ann Detwiler was born March 16, 1938, in Franklin County, Kansas. She was one of three children born to William 'Bill' and Grace Marie (DeMaranville) Houdashelt. Mary was a lifelong Franklin County, Kansas resident, moving into Ottawa in 1955, where she made her home until her death Sunday, June 1, 2003, at the age of sixty-five years. Mary attended school in Le Loup, Kansas. She was a lifelong homemaker. She also worked a short time at Platner Plastics in Ottawa, and, for many years, was a childcare provider in her home. Mary was a member of Agape' Christian Center in Ottawa. She was an excellent cook and loved to entertain. Mary's greatest enjoyment, however, came from her family and friends and spending time with them. On December 17, 1955, Mary was united in marriage with Robert Clayton
