Martha Puckett

Martha J. Puckett, 71, of Somerset, Kansas passed away September 2, 2012 at Louisburg Healthcare Center Martha was born on November 20, 1940 in Kansas City, Kansas to Charles and Deliah Cox Weathers. She grew up in Kansas City, Kansas and graduated from Argentine High School in 1959. On July 23, 1971 she was united in marriage to Gilbert Puckett in Kansas City, Kansas and they moved to Somerset, Kansas the same year. Martha was employed at King Radio for many years before retiring. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, listening to Elvis songs, eating out, and watching detective shows and game shows especially Wheel of Fortune. She also loved having her pets around, liked bird watching, and enjoyed all of the Kansas City sporting events especially the Royals. In her earlier years she was a great care giver to her parents and grandparents as they became elderly. She was a gentle and caring individual and will be missed by family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Charles Weathers. She is survived by her husband Gilbert of the home.
