Marsha Ann Brown Swearingen, 60, went to live in Heaven. The heavenly angels came to carry her home on her baby brother David Brown"s birthday, Saturday, Aug. 29. She slipped away silently and peacefully at home. Marsha was born May 21, 1955, to Jacob and Eileen Brown at Emporia, the fourth of eight children. She was married to John Swearingen, Osawatomie, on June 22, 1973, and they made their home around the Paola/Osawatomie area. They were parents to Lindy, Brandy, Chastity and Amber Brown. She will be lovingly remembered for the wonderful, loving, giving, happy person that she was. She had a laugh that we will always remember. Preceding her in death were her parents, Jacob and Eileen Brown; brothers, Rick, Paul and David; baby sister, Diana, (3 days old); nephews Gary Hire of Paola, Tommy Schroeder of Freedom Okla.; and niece Stephanie Brown of Paola. Left to mourn her untimely passing are her husband and soulmate, John, of the home; her daughters, Lindy Kraft of Paola, Brandy Thomas of Olathe, Chastity Long of Paola, and Amber Brown of Paola; her grandchildren, Johnny Paul, Bobby Lee, Johnny Cash, Koby Dale, Khloe Ann; three sisters, Sandy Schroeder of Freedom, Okla.; Janet Hire and Anita Obermeier of Paola; one surviving brother, Dan Brown of Osawatomie; and many nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life will be at 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, at the home, 110 Diamond St., Paola, in the outdoor garden area. Instead of flowers, at the request of Marsha, do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness for someone and simply, "pay it forward."
