Marsha Meta Schmoe, age 58, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Monday, January 11, 2010. She was born on Tuesday, November 27, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois. She was the daughter of Charles F. and Edna E. (Grant) Williams. She was a lifelong area resident, living in Ottawa since 1981. From 1976 to 1981, she lived in Anderson County. Marsha graduated from Greeley High School with the class of 1969. She was a homemaker. In the 1970’s and 1980’s, she worked as a certified medication aid for various nursing homes, including Crestview, Ottawa Retirement Village, Richmond Care Center and in Garnett. Also, in the 1970’s, she worked in assembly at King Radio. On April 9, 1971, Marsha was united in marriage with George Schmoe in Garnett, Kansas. He survives of their home. She is survived by her: Husband-George Schmoe of the home Son-George Schmoe, Jr. and his girlfriend, Jessica, of Lawrence, Kansas Son-William Schmoe of Ottawa, Kansas Daughter-Starleen Bradley of Centropolis, Kansas Son-Darin Schmoe and his wife, Rebecca, of Ottawa, Kansas Son-Darik Schmoe and his wife, Linda, of Ottawa, Kansas Sister-Doris Hernandez of Missouri Grandchildren-Seventeen Gt.Grandchildren-Four She is preceded in death by her: Father-Charles F. Williams Mother-Edna E. (Grant) Williams Son-in-law-Wayne Bradley Brother-One Sister-One Grandson-Frost Schmoe SERVICES: Graveside services will be held at Highland Cemetery in Ottawa at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2010. IN STATE: Mrs. Schmoe will lie in state at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends from 7:00 to 8:00 Wednesday evening. CEMETERY: Highland Cemetery in Ottawa, Kansas. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorial contributions to Marsha Schmoe Memorial Fund, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
