Marolyn Elizabeth Foster, age 65 of Pomona, Kansas, died Friday, July 27, 2012. She was born on Saturday, March 22, 1947 in Redfield Kansas. She was the daughter of Ivan and Louise (Horseman) Brittingham. She has been a resident of Pomona, Kansas since 1966 moving there from Ottawa, Kansas. Marolyn graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1965. Marolyn was a homemaker. She was employed for 40 years as a seamstress and instructor at H.D. Lee Company in Ottawa. She was also closely involved with product development at the company, retiring in 2005. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post #5901 Ladies Auxiliary of Ottawa, Kansas. On Saturday, August 28, 1965, Marolyn was united in marriage with James R. Foster, Sr. at Ottawa, Kansas. He survives of their home. Marolyn is survived by her husband: James R. Foster, Sr. of the home in Pomona. Three sons, James Foster, Jr. and his wife Jody of Republic, Missouri; Patrick Foster and his wife Jan of Topeka, Kansas; Gerald Foster and his wife Michelle of Ottawa, Kansas. Four sisters, Ivana Higginbotham and her husband Loren of La Cygne, Kansas; Rebecca Roush and her husband Duane of Greeley, Kansas; Carolyn Schuster of Greeley, Kansas; Sharon Falk and her husband Bruce of Stafford, Kansas. Three brothers, Troy Brittingham and his wife Carol of Pomona, Kansas; Max Brittingham and his wife Sandy of Pomona, Kansas; Bill Brittingham of Claycomo, Missouri. Seven Grandchildren, Brandy Watts; Whitney Packwood; Shelby Foster; Tanner Foster; Tara Foster; Morgan Foster and Kylie Foster. One Great-great granddaughter, Addison Packwood. Marolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Louise Brittingham and a brother, Kenneth Brushwood. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held at Dengel & Son Mortuary, 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 2, 2012. IN STATE: Mrs. Foster will lie in state at Dengel & Son Mortuary from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, August l, 2012, where the family will meet with friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. CEMETERY: Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona, Kansas.
