RESIDENCE HISTORY: Marlin was a lifelong Quenemo resident. OCCUPATION: Marlin was a farmer from 1946 until 1980 and also worked seventeen years as a welder at Skyhook in Ottawa, retiring in 1980. After his retirement he owned and managed rental properties GOVERNMENT SERVICE: Marlin served during World War II in the 2133rd Army Air Force Base Unit from May 22, 1942 until November 6, 1945, serving in the European Theatre and attaining the rank of Sergeant. He received the Good Conduct Medal, EAMET Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon, and the World War II Victory Medal. MARRIAGE: On April 17, 1975 Marlin was united in marriage with Mavis A. Stultz in Ottawa, she survives. In 1941 He married Irene Peters in Ottawa. She preceded him in death in 1945. He was previously married to Hazel Beverly. They later divorced. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from Dengel & Son Mortuary 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 25, 2005 with military honors. IN STATE: Mr. Mooney will lie in state from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday and from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday at Dengel & Son Mortuary where family will meet with friends from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday. CEMETERY: Woodlawn Cemetery in Pomona, Kansas. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorials to Kansas Dialysis Services c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
