Marlene Taulbert

Marlene "Marty" Taulbert age 56 of Shawnee, Kansas, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed from our arms and into Jesus' loving embrace at her home June 19. We will miss her heart of gold and rejoice in knowing she is forever at home with our Lord and Saviour whom she faithfully loved and served. Services will be Wed. June 24, 10:30 AM, at Penwell-Gabel Paola Chapel, 305 N. Pearl, visitation Tues. from 6 to 8:30 PM, burial Osawatomie Cemetery, memorials to the American Diabetes Asc. To leave condolences go to penwellgabel.com. Marty was born in Hannibal, MO to Ralph and Frances Powell Jackson. She grew up in the Paola area and graduated from PHS in 1971. Marty was united in marriage to Wayne Taulbert Dec. 31, 1997. They made their home in Shawnee, KS. She found success and pleasure in many occupations including raising her 3 daughters, working alongside her husband as a dynamic entrepreneur at Renzenberger, Inc. and above all else, being a grandma. She loved cooking, boating, fishing, tennis, judgeing debate, the Royals, vacuuming and Windex. Marty was preceded in death by her father Ralph and brothers Kevin and Mark and nephew Danny. Survivors are her husband Wayne of Shawnee, mother Frances Jackson of Lenexa, dau., Shellye and husband Jeffery Abram, dau., Cindy and husband Wesley Seglem, dau., Tammye Renzenberger and fiance Tye Salers, all of Shawnee, 7 " grandchildren, sis., Beverly McEvers of Lenexa, sis., Carolyn and husband Jim Wilhoit of Overland Park, bro., Terry Jackson and wife Karen of Sterling, sis., Debra and husband Wes Schlobohm of Shawnee, sis., Becky and husband, Mike Harper of Overland Park.
