Mark N. Todd, 79, of Ottawa, passed away Monday, August 12, 2019. Mark will lie in state from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, August 15th, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 16, 2019, at Wellsville Cemetery, Wellsville, Kansas. Mark N. Todd was born Saturday, December 9, 1939 in Wellsville, Kansas. He was the son of Truman David and Esther Kathryn (Stevenson) Todd. He was a graduate of Wellsville High School with the class of 1957. Mark was a twenty-five-year member of Aerie Lodge #2700, Fraternal Order of Eagles in Ottawa. On May 23, 1975, Mark was united in marriage with Kay K. Reed at Ottawa, Kansas. She preceded him in death on December 7, 2016. Mark worked twenty-eight years as a truck driver for Bennett Ice Cream in Ottawa, retiring in 1997 due to his health. He farmed all his life, also raising cattle and he loved to be out on his tractor working the fields. He loved coon hunting, fishing, playing pitch with friends and liked to cook for his friends. Mark is survived by his son, Michael Todd of Oklahoma; stepchildren, Lori Skilling and husband Wes of Vassar, Kansas, Tony Reed and wife Cathy of Overland Park, Kansas and Jeff Reed and wife Ronda of Princeton, Kansas; seven grandchildren, seven step grandchildren; and seven step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Truman and Esther Todd; daughter, Julie Strickland; and stepson, Randy Reed.
