Marjorie Y. Mccandless

Marjorie Yvonne McCandless, 72, Louisburg, Kansas, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2008 in Salina, KS. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at the First Baptist Church at 406 S. Vine, Louisburg, KS. Burial in the Louisburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. " 11:00 a.m. Tuesday morning at the First Baptist Church. Mrs. McCandless was born August 1, 1936 in Bryn Maur, California. She married Warren D. McCandless on December 7, 1957 in Woodburn, OR. She was a homemaker and served on the board of Louisburg Senior Center. She was active in numerous other area organizations. She was preceded in death by her husband Warren McCandless, six sisters, two brothers and by her father James A. Hall and mother Mallie D. Gibson Hall. She is survived by her three children, Michael Warren McCandless and his wife, Kathy of Bennington, KS, Pamela Dean Soper and her husband, Ray of Carthage, MO and Patrick Dale McCandless and his wife, Debra of Lawrence, KS; a sister Leora Miles of Lebanon, OR. and a nephew Jimmy Brown of Enum Claw, WA. Seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren Memorial contributions may be given to American Heart Association or to the Louisburg Senior Center and sent in care of Penwell-Gabel Louisburg Chapel P.O.
