Marjorie M. Richardson, age 86, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Monday, May 30, 2011. She was born on Saturday, December 6, 1924, in Waverly, Kansas, the daughter of Joseph Lee and Florence Edith (Baxter) Shobe. She grew up in the Prairie View Community of Coffey County and Emporia Kansas, moving to Ottawa in Franklin County, Kansas in 1960. Marjorie graduated from Waverly High School with the class of 1943. She was a homemaker. She also worked at Burlington, in the office of Coffey County Register of Deeds, and was a part-time delivery person at A Bloomin’ Florist of Ottawa. She attended Prairie View United Methodist Church in Coffey County. On Saturday, February 2, 1946, Marjorie was united in marriage with Wilbur Johnson “Jim” Richardson in Lyons, Kansas. They enjoyed sixty-one years together. He preceded her in death on He preceded her in death on May 10, 2007. She is survived by her: Son-Gary Richardson of Ottawa, Kansas and a Brother-in-law-Watson Ore of Lee’s Summit, Missouri. She is preceded in death by her Husband-Wilbur Johnson Richardson; Parents-Joseph Lee and Florence Edith Shobe and Sister-Lela Merle Ore. SERVICES: Mrs. Richardson was cremated. Family and friends will meet for Memorial Graveside Services at Waverly City Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2011. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorial contributions to Marjorie M.
