Marjorie Helen McBratney, age 88, of Paola, Kansas, formerly of Pomona, Kansas passed away June 10, 2020 at Evergreen Community of Johnson County, Olathe, Kansas. Marjorie was born Wednesday, December 2, 1931, in Junction City, KS, the daughter of Clarence and Thelma (Chase) Warner. Marjorie was united in marriage to Newell J. McBratney on March 21, 1958. In 1973, she moved to Pomona. She worked at Ward's Department Store as a bookkeeper. She later worked cleaning houses and caring for the elderly. Marjorie loved watching birds, cooking for family gatherings, and gardening, Her goal in life was to teach the bible to children and adults. She was a member of the Pomona Assembly of God Church where she taught bible study and Sunday school classes and served on the board. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Eugene Siron, second husband Newell J. McBratney, and her siblings Marion Warner, Bob Warner, Larry Warner, Don Warner, Ron Warner, and Judie Mann. Survivors include her daughter Lea (John) Miller of Paola, KS; two sons Dennis (Kim) Siron of Broomfield, CO and David (Patty) Siron of Denver, CO; 10 grandchildren Dirk McBratney, Matthew, Leslie, Eric, and Jared Siron, Ian, Dakota, Cordel, Kayla, and Quinn Miller; and 4 great grandchildren Jayden, Logan, Cody, and Gracelynn Siron. Family and friends are encouraged to post their memories and condolences on Marjorie's tribute wall.
