Marjorie Anne Hanser, age 92, of Paola, Kansas, died July 19, 2016 at her home. Marjorie was born June 13, 1924 at Lenexa, Kansas. She was the daughter of Charles and Anna (Hauser) Boehm. She was united in marriage to Harold E. Hanser on February 20, 1946 in St. Paul"s Catholic Church, Olathe, Kansas they were married for 55 years. They became the parents of three children. After their marriage, they lived in Lenexa before making their home on a dairy farm for 22 years outside of Spring Hill, Kansas before moving to Paola in 1972. She was a telephone operator and secretary for an insurance company after she graduated from Shawnee Mission High School. While her children attended Holy Trinity Catholic School she worked in the kitchen. She was known for her delicious cinnamon rolls among the students. Before retiring she was a lunch assistant at Lakemary. After retirement she volunteered at Holy Trinity Catholic Church where she was a member helping with funeral dinners and serving at St. Mary"s Food Kitchen and was involved in many faith-filled ministries in the church. She enjoyed playing cards weekly with friends and spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her daughter Linda McClanahan. She is survived by her son John Hanser of Spring Hill; daughter Joyce Shipley of Hillsdale; brother Raymond Boehm of Ottawa; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
