Marjorie E. Seuferling, age 94, died June 3, 2024, at Vintage Park of Osawatomie, KS. Marjorie was born and raised on the family farm near Bucyrus, KS on December 10, 1929. She attended Centerpoint Grade School and graduated from Louisburg High School in 1948. After graduation, she stayed on the farm and helped her dad with farming and her mom with gardening and raising chickens. During that time, she owned and raised several Paint horses. She enjoyed horseback riding in her free time.
Marjorie worked at Hallmark Cards for over 29 years.
She cared for both of her parents in the home. After they passed, she went to work for Louisburg Middle School in the dietary department for 10 years, until she retired.
Marjorie made numerous quilts, many of which she gifted to family. She hand-quilted those, as well as doing hand-quilting for others that brought quilts to her. She continued to plant a garden each year while living at home.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, W.J. and Minnie (Phillips) Seuferling, brother Martin J. Seuferling, sister Helen Roseberry, brother-in-law David Roseberry, twin sister Marie Rohrer and brother-in-law Daryl Rohrer.
She is survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
