Marjorie Milton, 93, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away with family by her side on Monday, January 4, 2021. Family will meet with friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 8, 2021, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, January 8, 2021, at Evergreen Mound Cemetery, Ottawa. Marjorie was born December 13, 1927, at Urich, Missouri, the daughter of Luther James and Elsie Pearl (Cornett) Brumley. She lived in Parker, Kansas, moving in the late 1940’s to Ottawa. She graduated from Parker High School with the class of 1947. Marjorie was united in marriage to Warren “Bud” Milton December 4, 1948, at Olathe, Kansas. They were happily married for 63 years and had four children. She was a devoted lifelong homemaker and was also employed at King Radio in Ottawa, as an assembler from the 1970’s to 1990’s. Marjorie attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Ottawa, life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post 5901 Auxiliary of Ottawa; former member of the Aerie Lodge 2700, Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary also of Ottawa; Ottawa Women’s Bowling Association member; and voting poll volunteer for several years. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and embroidery. Marjorie’s grandkids were her passion and she loved going to all their sporting events and helping care for the family farm. She was preceded in death by her husband Bud on January 3, 2011; her parents; sister, Betty Brooks; infant brother Brumley; and granddaughter, Jessica Milton. Survivors include four children, Roger Milton of Hoxie, Kansas, Marsha (Mike) Alexander of Pomona, Maggie Thielman of Ottawa, and Randy (Debi) Milton also of Ottawa; two sisters, Willa Querry of Parker, Kansas, and Donna Cottrell of Rantoul; 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
