Marjorie Almeda Grey was born on Sunday, September 14, 1924, in Ottawa, Franklin County, Kansas. She was the daughter of John and Mary (Oakes) Keim. A near lifelong resident, Marjorie made her home in Ottawa until her death on Thursday, June 19, 2008, at the age of eighty-three years. Marjorie was a near lifelong Ottawa resident. She attended Ottawa schools. Marjorie worked as a cook and waitress for several Ottawa restaurants, including Edith's Caf', Red Rooster, Hill House, and Ham & Bun. She later sold Stanley Products for a couple of years. She was a member of Town & Country Church of Christ of Ottawa. Marjorie was a lovely lady who greatly enjoyed her family and visiting with her many friends. She loved cooking and creating a variety of crafts. On July 25, 1942, Marjorie was united in marriage with Marvin Willis Welton. He preceded her in death on January 14, 1960. She was united in marriage with Arthur Vernon
