Marion Foster

Marion Alleene Foster, 86, of Paola, KS, passed away Tuesday July 26, 2011. Marion was born to Roscoe and Ruth Strong Hess on October 15, 1924 in Iola, Kansas. She graduated from Iola High School. She married Delmar Frederick Foster on May 9, 1942 in Yates Center, Kansas. They moved to Paola, Kansas in 1952. Marion worked at Citizen"s State Bank and Miami County National/Teambank until she retired. She enjoyed traveling, golfing, stitching, watching TV game shows, playing bingo, and playing cards with her friends. She was active in Eastern Star and enjoyed doing things with her family. She especially enjoyed having the family over to her home to celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas. She is survived by children Vicki and Don Robison of Paola, KS, Rick and Mary Pat Foster of Shawnee, KS, and Randy Foster of Paola, KS; a sister Dorothy Wray of Austin, TX; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Delmar in 1989. Memorial contributions can be made to the Marion Foster Golf Scholarship.
