Marion moved with his family in 1907 from Indiana to DeSoto, Kansas, to Prairie Center, Kansas, and to Ottawa in 1913. He lived in Rantoul, Kansas from 1927 until moving to Richmond in 1965. Marion was a farmer, then worked at Hercules Powder Plant in the 40`s. He then returned to farming and worked construction and oil fields; and worked at Skyhook in Ottawa from 1960 until his retirement in 1985. Marion was a member of the school board of Silver Valley Grade School and a former member of Union Chapel Church, Franklin County, Kansas. On October 9, 1924, Marion was united in marriage with Rozella Hope McCann at Ottawa. She preceded him in death February 18, 1951. He was united in marriage with Velma J. ( Wallace) Everson at Lyndon, Kansas. She preceded him in death December 4, 1995. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from Dengel & Son Mortuary 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2005. IN STATE: Mr. Schmoe will lie in state after 10:00 a.m. Monday at Dengel & Son Mortuary to service hour, where the family will meet with friends from 7 to 8 Tuesday evening. CEMETERY: Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorials to Richmond Care Center or Hospice Care of Kansas, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary 235 S.
