RESIDENCE HISTORY: She moved from Emporia, where she was born, to Ottawa with her family in 1936. After her marriage, she moved to Osawatomie, Topeka, and, in 1943, to Kansas City, Missouri. EDUCATION: Marie graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1938. MEMBERSHIPS: She was a member of Leawood Baptist Church and Past Worthy Matron of Order of Eastern Star, Orient Chapter #491, Kansas City, Missouri. MARRIAGE: On September 17, 1939, Marie was united in marriage with Clifton Lloyd Haas at Ottawa, Kansas. He preceded her in death on January 9, 1996. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2004. OFFICIATING CLERGY: Art Phillips, Senior Pastor of York United Methodist Church, York, Nebraska. IN STATE: Mrs. Haas will lie in state at the Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday. The family will meet with friends at Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri, from 6:30 to 8:00 Friday evening. CEMETERY: Hope Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas.
