Margaret Kathryn Millard

Margaret Kathryn Millard, age 97, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Thursday, May 14, 2009, at Vintage Park at Ottawa Assisted Living Center in Ottawa, KS. She was born on Monday, May 13, 1912, in Crawford County, Kansas. She was the daughter of Jonathan Gabriel and Elizabeth Ellen (Gadberry) Schwab. Margaret lived in Pittsburg, Wichita, and Eureka, Kansas and California, moving to Ottawa in about 1945. Margaret attended Pittsburg High School, Pittsburg, Kansas and graduated from Wichita North High School with the class of 1930. She worked ten years as a clerk preparing invoices for the computer for Mission Industries of California, retiring in 1974. Margaret was a member of First Christian Church; Christian Women's Fellowship; Homebuilders Sunday School Class; Union Chapter #15, Order of the Eastern Star; Elm Grove Home Extension Unit; Just Friends Club; and former member of Kiwanis Queens, all of Ottawa. On April 25, 1931, Margaret was united in marriage with John Roland Millard in Wichita, Kansas. He preceded her in death on October 12, 1991. SURVIVORS INCLUDE: Nephew-Terrill L.
