Margaret Huebner, 87, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away, Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa, Kansas. The family will meet with friends one hour prior to services from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 noon. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona, Kansas. Margaret was born March 20, 1932, in Ottawa, Kansas, the daughter of Arthur and Agnes (Howard) Shibe. She was united in marriage to John Hudgens on October 20, 1950 at Kansas City, Kansas, moving to Raytown, Missouri where they lived for 46 years before retiring to Sunrise Beach, Missouri, in 1992. After John’s death in 1998 she remained in Sunrise Beach until she married David Huebner on September 5, 2009, in Laurie, Missouri. They built a house outside Camdenton, Missouri where she lived until her death. She graduated from Appanoose High School, Franklin County, Kansas with the class of 1950. She is survived by her husband, Dave Huebner; sister, Opal Fritts of Ottawa; brother, Robert Shibe of Overland Park; daughters, Janice Clinger and husband Richard of Belton, MO, Jeanette Norton and husband Paul of Kansas City; son, John Hudgens and wife Debbie of Omaha, NE; grandchildren Tony and his wife Jackie, Jennifer and her partner Steve, Meredith, Kim and her husband Terry, Shannon and Jana; 7 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, John Hudgens and brother, Jim Shibe. Margaret was a homemaker for many years and was heavily involved with the PTA. When the kids were older, she went to work for the IRS and then the USDA. She retired from USDA where she was an Administrative Assistant. Margaret was an avid bowler and traveled across the country on bowling tournaments. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family and grandchildren.
