Marcella C. White

Marcella C. White, age 91, of Paola, Kansas passed away August 19, 2013 at her home. She was born on March 26, 1922 in Morrisville, Missouri to Frank and Mary Nerud Hruska. Marcella grew up in the Paola area and graduated from Paola High School in 1941. After graduation she worked for the Miami County Farm Bureau known then as the County Extension Service. On November 28, 1945 she was united in marriage to CB White in Paola Kansas. In 1966 they, together with Phil Hruska, built and operated the Paola Roller Rink in Paola for 18 years. Marcella was a charter member of Miami County Hospital Auxiliary, member of Holy Trinity Church and the Altar Society and was devoted to her Catholic faith. Her hobbies where family, gardening, flowers, and volunteering to different organizations, always willing to give a helping hand wherever needed. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Paul, Frank, and Hank and two sisters Angela Hruska and Rosemary Bulis. Survivors are her sons Frank and wife Donna White of Rural Franklin County and Jerry White of Paola, brothers Steve Hruska of Overland Park and Phil Hruska of Paola.
