M. "Bill" Lute, Sr.

William M. Bill Lute, Sr., age 74, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Saturday, January 7, 2012. He was born on Monday, August 30, 1937, in Williford, Arkansas, the son of Walter and Mary (Fletcher) Lute. He was a resident of Ottawa since the mid 1980’s, moving from Wellsville, Kansas. Prior to Wellsville, he lived in Kansas City, Kansas. Bill was a machinist for thirty years, working for Puritan-Bennett of Lenexa and R. O. Stinger, previously known as R. O. Terex, of Olathe, retiring in 2000. In 1959, Bill was united in marriage with Levina Jean Tyler. They were later divorced. In the early 1970’s, Bill was united in marriage with Gloria LaVerne Hernandez. They were later divorced. On Wednesday, November 22, 1995, Bill was united in marriage with Lora Flippo in Ottawa, Kansas. She survives of their home. He is survived by his: Wife-Lora Lute of their home; Son-Daniel Hernandez of Ottawa, Kansas; Son-Steven D. Lute and his wife, Christy, of Quenemo, Kansas; Son-William M. Lute, Jr. and his wife, Janette, of Ottawa, Kansas; Son-Walter Ward of Ottawa, Kansas; Daughter-Marian Hughes of Edwardsville, Kansas; Daughter-Cheryl Ann Howard and her husband, Mark, of Lenexa, Kansas; Daughter-Christine M. South of Lenexa, Kansas; Daughter-Tamara Griffin and her husband, Mike, of Osawatomie, Kansas; Daughter-Michelle Heenan and her husband, Adam, of Ottawa, Kansas; Brother-Ernest Lute and his wife, Nora, of Kansas City, Kansas; Sister-Betty Vessey of California; Sister-Margie Zettlemoyer of New Mexico; Sixteen - Grandchildren and Ten - Gt.Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his: Parents-Walter and Mary Lute and his Brother-Aubry Lute. SERVICES: Cremation is planned. Memorial Services will be held from Town & Country Church of Christ, 515 N.
