Lynda Ann Irvin, 73, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Friday, October 22, 2021, at AdventHealth Ottawa. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa. Family will meet with friends from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M., Thursday, prior to services, at the mortuary. Interment Highland Cemetery, Ottawa. Lynda was born December 28, 1947, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Lloyd and Ila (Smith) Rapp. She grew up in the Olathe, Kansas area, moving to Osawatomie, Kansas where she lived 11 years. In 2011, Lynda moved to Ottawa, where she made her home until her death. On June 9, 1995, Lynda was united in marriage to Darren Irvin at Miami, Oklahoma. He survives of the home. Lynda was employed as a CNA for 25 years, retiring in the early 2000’s. For several years she worked at Indian Meadows Nursing Home in Overland Park. She attended Community Revival Center Church. Lynda enjoyed gardening, flowers, nature, and collecting geodes and crystals. She loved her dogs, Elvis and Betty Boop, and always looked forward to the time she spent with family and her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother John Rapp. Other survivors include two children, Jason Boan of Ottawa, and Laura Miller (John Bullock) of Lawrence; and three grandchildren, Lillian Boan, Sean Hollington, and Haley Hollington.
