Lucy Crawford

Lucy Crawford age 83 of Paola passed away Monday, Jan 18, 2010, at the North Point Care Center. Lucy Crawford was born March 25, 1926 in Westline MO., to John Watson and Sarah Malinda Mills Smith. She was united in marriage to Murrel Crawford on Jan. 31, 1946 in Paola, Kansas. Lucy was a Health Care Provider at Medical Lodge Nursing Home for 25 years before retiring, plus a mother of 8 children. Her hobbies were playing bingo, cribbage, pitch, playing games, broom stick crocheting, cooking and especially caring for her children. Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 5 sisters, 6 brothers, and a set of twins. Surviving are her children; four daughters, Terri Parkins of Paola, KS; Torie and husband Jay Idol of Mission, TX; Brenda and husband Richard McNece of Peculiar, MO; Rita and husband Gary Cutshaw of Paola, KS; four sons, Murrel Crawford Jr. of Paola, KS; Keith Crawford of Paola, KS; Max and wife Debi Crawford of Beaumont, TX; and Kirk Crawford of Osawatomie, KS; 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
