Lucille Marie McClanahan, age 69, of Olathe , KS, passed away Aug. 4, 2009, at the Olathe Medical Center. Services are Sat. Aug. 8th at 1:30 PM at the Penwell-Gabel Paola location with visitation Fri. 6 to 8:00PM. Burial Paola Cemetery, memorials to the American Cancer. To leave a special message for the family, please visit our website at www.PenwellGabelPaola.com. Lucille was born, Sept. 18, 1939, in LaHarpe KS., to Everett and Thelma Cloyd Manbeck. She lived in LaHarpe until 1956, when she was united in marriage, to Gary Lee Baker. Together they had four children. This marriage later ended in divorce. On Jan. 15, 1965 she was united in marriage, to Donald McClanahan, in Miami, OK. They lived throughout the country, until settling in Olathe.,KS. Lucille worked as a seamstress, for the HD Lee Company, in Ottawa, D & L Construction Company, and the Dillard"s Dept Store before retiring due to failing health in 1999. She enjoyed bowling, the Royals, game shows, gospel network, Ottawa Eagle, American Legion, Red Hat Club, the Seamstress Union, and Nascar races on Sunday. She enjoyed her grandchildren and family and recently rededicated her life to Christ. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Lucille is preceded in death by her husband, Don McClanahan, her father, Everett Manbeck, 2 sis., Dorothy Gilman, and Carolyn McGuffin, one step daughter, Cindy Cook. Survivors are her mother, Thelma Menbeck, of LaHarpe, KS., dau., Linda Farrell, of Ft. Worth, TX., dau., Anna Reese, of Wellsville, KS., son, Charles Baker, of Olathe, KS., Edward Baker, of Paola,KS., 2 step dau., Judy Shay, of Richmond, KS., Debbie Gilbert, of Harrisonville, MO., 1 step-son, Thomas McClanahan, of LaHarpe, KS., 2 bro., Clyde Manbeck, of Iola,KS., Richard Manbeck, of LaHarpe KS., 5 sis, Ruth Caudell, of Colony KS., Mary Clay, of LaHarpe, KS., Ida Andruss, Topeka,KS., Barbara Johnson, Palo Pinto, TX., Beth Prock , Iola KS., and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
